NW-PaGe Analyses and Projects
A phylogenetic tree depicting the relation of study sequenced EV-D68 samples to EV-D68 samples deposited in GenBank.
Household Transmission of EV-D68
In this analysis our team and UW Virology looked into the secondary attack rate and factors associated with potential secondary transmission of enterovirus D68 (EV-D68).
Transmission appeared to be from school aged children to adults.
The secondary attack rate was calculated to be 13.6% (95% CI: 6.8-27.5%).

Seattle Network for Influenza and Flu-Like Symptoms (SNIFLS)
The SNIFLS Study enrolled individuals from January - June 2025. Nasal swab specimens from acutely-ill individuals were tested for 26 respiratory pathogens. A total of 248 samples were tested, with rhinovirus being the most prevalent.
